has been watching several segments of the BBC's The Human Face with John Cleese.
it is now 'required viewing'

it's really an amazing documentary with scientific, cultural, and social insights... and a few monty python characters. .. and David Attenborough! there was a part about babies' perspectives of beauty, lot's of stories about people with severely disfigured faces, people that can't recognize expression or can't make expression and how that affects their interactions... and you get to see John Cleese rip Elizabeth Hurley's face off! it's like a nature documentary meets mythbusters produced by Terry Gilliam. it really helps me clear away the current slug in my head and see people fresh again. highly recommended, and i have lots more segments to watch, but i'l wait to do it with someone else who's interested.

i want to have a public act with other pedestrians where we all walk with our arms and legs swinging together on either side rather than countering. maybe on the first Critical Walk.

didn't they show that on TLC at some point? if it's the same one, then that doccumentary's awesome :3 (it was John Cleese in it, so I assume it was the same one)

ya, i saw from a search that it was on TLC, but i wouldn't know otherwise. it's really inspiring to make more photo portraits. if you haven't seen the whole thing.. i can make you a copy. it's two dvds.

I think I only saw part of it, but I dont' remember them saying it was long (short enough to sit on the couch and watch with commercials, lol!) it would be cool to see again anyway.. especially that part about the baby. I liked that part ^^;

I've seen that once. Very interesting. How beauty is related to mathematics. The same with the golden mean, or divine proportion in everything, from nature to art. It's fascinating.

Symmetrical, yes... but if you look at yourself with a mirror halfway your face (like in your user icon) and mirror the other half... then your face has changed quite a bit. Strange, how we are symmetrical, but not mirrored.

Critical Walk? Serious?

In San Fran a group of joggers with "one less bike" t-shirts do a critical mass...
