fun midnight at the coolidge [Jun. 24th, 2005|11:11 am]
Weird and wild original 16mm classroom films

The A/V Geeks (aka, collector extraordinaire Skip Elsheimer) return to the Coolidge with more from their massive library of over 14,000 16mm educational and training films. These classics are filled with hidden celluloid riches - the same ones we (and our parents) used to watch in the darkened classrooms of our childhood. Come and join us for some of our favorites and, as always, a group film strip reading kicks off each show - and we'll have door prizes as well!.

An evening of old school 16mm films about - interestingly enough - the hazards of going to school in the 1960s and 70s. Films include - Our Obligation, Lunchroom Manners, How Quiet Helps at School, And Then It Happened and more!

"Anyone who hates children and animals can't be all bad." These school films feature children interacting with animals, including: Skipper Learns a Lesson, Frances and Her Rabbit, Safety with Animals, Kitty Cleans Up, Ro-Revus and more!

Visit the A/V Geeks website for more information and lots of other fun stuff:

oooh yeah... I forgot that was today. I was definitely thinking about hitting that. (haha definitely thinking)

I'm doing critical mass today too \m/ I have my brothers bike. Are there any rules to that, like do I have to wear a helmet or something?

just keep the poon happy. that's all. i'd like to take a look over your bike to see if i can tune it up or make it more optimal fit for you. see you tonight.

oh ya, you should get a helmet and a front light at night since cops are starting to ticket for that.

hmm... okay. I have a helmet and I think there is a front reflector. This bike is a little scary. I rode it for a bit in my neighborhood. It's not the bike that my mom is giving me... that one is getting fixed up in the shop till the 28th. This one is just a loan from my brother. It hasn't been ridden in years. It def could use a tune up :/

ok. the front reflector is helpful, but the law requires a light in front and a reflector in back at minimum.

... but i've only heard of this being enforced, and i've ridden for years without and been ok. i do recommend it for safety in any case.

try to get your bike to Gabe's by 5:15-ish and one of us can go through the cables and bolts to give it some love.
