Oh lordy that is SO DAMN COOL!
i dont like that you can be cool for things i can get made fun of, probably previously by you. "retro" angers me for this reason.
p.s. lol @ why is it $35? so unnecessaryhttp://daftpunkosaka.ytmnd.com/
I guess it just costs money to be cool...which might explain why I'm so uncool.
i agree. i think i'll just splice the 1/8" plug on a free (stolen) payphone handset.
How did you find out about this site? I think that it's cool
the same way you find out about anything.... looking for drunken midget porn at 4am on a wednesday morning.
wow. i need one of those for work. supercool, but somewhat pricey.
ya, i think it would be totally easy to wire from any handset.
it would also be easy to start stealing pay phone headsets and selling these DIY style...
saw your interests. there's a great construction/demolition site on the block next to my work. everything shakes. i took pics of the huge equipment and printed one onto a page sized sticker and put it on a fixey i'm makin. it looks good under the gloss coat.
it's actually because my job is very feast-or-famine, and lately it's been famine, so i just stare out the window at this construction site. the sad news, though, is that the doozers just put the 11th floor on the building, which is about the height limit in dc. so, soon, it'll be interior work and nothing for me to look at. *sob*. but for today they're starting to put facing on the walls at the ground floor.
go doozers go!
i'll have to remember to set up a time/lapse webcam when the new building is being made. then make a fast-time movie of the action.
you can't tell it from my crappy picture phone, but there are two construction sites next to eachother-- the one that's up and one in the hole next to the holiday inn. the fun part is watching the two tall cranes try not to hit eachother. they're at different heights, but if they had their cable pulley things at the end, they'd definetely hit eachother. It's also scary seeing them hang their toolchests at the end of the day, and seeing 1000's of pounds of toold just blowing in the wind...
awww damn.... and i thought i was gonna be on the initial crest of the wave...
rock it. \m/
Well, finally finding a full-time job kind of took away any impetus to spend hours soldering together telephones, so my "company" has more-or-less gone under.
I am, of course, willing to sell the whole enterprise for a cool million or two.
