Why do people stand up in the aisle as soon as the seatbelt light goes off? They're still stuck. impatient fucks.

what about the people who stand up before?

I stand up ASAP, though, because my legs have been bent for X hours and I'd like to straighten them, even if it means having to bend at my neck and/or back for 30 minutes.

that always strikes me as weird, too, since it creates an environment of waiting and restlessness, rather than what it is: the ordinary last five-ten minutes of the plane ride while they get the doors open.
